2024 Year in Review: Reflecting on a Transformative Year at PeakMetrics
The information environment is changing fast. Geopolitical tensions are rising, and generative AI is reshaping how narratives are created, spread, and weaponized– influencing public opinion, policy, and global markets. It’s a challenging landscape, but one that reminds us why our work is so important. And we remain committed to building best-in-class tools to surface critical narratives with greater precision and speed.
This year, we’re especially grateful for our customers, investors, and partners. Your trust and support have been instrumental in helping us grow and make an impact, and we couldn’t do this work without you.
Before we turn the page to 2025, let’s look back at some of the 2024 highlights.
Fueling Growth Through Strategic Investment
This year, we took a significant step forward, raising over $3M led by York.IE, with participation from funds like Argon Ventures, Parameter Ventures, and CEAS Investments. This funding has allowed us to expand our go-to-market strategy, enhance our platform capabilities, and better serve our customers.
Advancing Our Work in National Security
We were honored to be awarded a $1.85M TACFI contract by the U.S. Air Force / AFWERX. This funding supports our mission to identify and combat foreign malign influence within the information environment, underscoring the critical role PeakMetrics plays in safeguarding information integrity.
Expanding AI Capabilities
A major milestone for us this year was expanding our AI capabilities with the launch of PeakMetrics 2.0. Featuring advanced tools like customizable threat scores, AI-powered narrative detection, and real-time insights, these innovations empower governments and organizations to anticipate risks and mitigate emerging threats before they escalate.
The new, intuitive interface enables faster, more precise decision-making, surpassing the limits of traditional media monitoring tools.
Innovating Through Powerful Partnerships
This year, we brought our partnership with Reality Defender to life, combining forces to protect brands and executives from fraud, scams, and impersonation at scale. Together, we’re tackling challenges that have only grown more urgent in an AI-driven world, reinforcing our commitment to narrative and threat intelligence. With analysts predicting that over 90% of online content will be AI-generated by 2026, content verification will be a critical component of understanding the information environment.
Connecting at Key Industry Events
We had the privilege of connecting with so many of you at industry events like INFOPAC, PRSA ICON, and the NY Metro Joint Cyber Security Conference. These moments—full of insights, collaboration, and connection—are reminders of how vital this work is and how much we can achieve together.
Making an Impact with Our Insights
Our work has driven meaningful real-world impact. This year, insights from our platform were cited by major outlets like The New York Times, POLITICO, and The Associated Press, and featured in live event tracking like election trackers from The New York Times, WIRED, and NBC News.
Seeing our intelligence help shape critical global narratives highlights the power of our platform and the expertise of the subject matter experts behind it. And we’ve been recognized along the way, including being named a Los Angeles Business Journal Disruptor and a finalist for the Timmy Awards’ Best Tech Startup.
Elevating Our Team and Recognizing Excellence
Behind every milestone is a team committed to excellence. This year, we welcomed top-tier engineers and insights experts, ensuring our tools remain cutting-edge and grounded in expertise.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we close out this chapter, we’re filled with gratitude for a year of growth, impact, and innovation. With the continued support of our customers, investors, advisors, and incredible team, we’re ready to face the challenges of 2025—and beyond.
Happy New Year. See you in 2025!
